1. Our Commitment
Lucky Rabbit is committed to providing a website and digital experience that is accessible to people of all abilities. We design and build luckyrabbit.tech to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the technical standard referenced by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for U.S. federal information and communication technology.
This statement describes the accessibility features we have implemented to date. It is a self-disclosure based on our own development, design, and review work — it is not a representation that the site has completed a third-party Section 508 conformance audit or that a formal Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR / VPAT) has been issued.
2. Accessibility Features Implemented
Skip to main content — a keyboard-accessible "Skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page, allowing keyboard and screen reader users to bypass the global navigation.
Visible focus indicators — every interactive element (links, buttons, form fields, and custom controls) shows a clear, high-contrast green focus ring when reached by keyboard, in conformance with WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible.
Keyboard navigation — the site is operable using only a keyboard. Menus, mega-menus, mobile navigation, modal dialogs (including the Service Catalog modal), and forms can be opened, navigated, and closed without a mouse, in conformance with WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard.
Semantic landmarks — pages use semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) with a primary <main id="main-content"> region so assistive technology can navigate by region.
Accessible navigation — primary navigation is labeled (aria-label="Primary"), submenus expose aria-haspopup and aria-expanded state, and the mobile menu is exposed as a dialog with aria-modal so screen readers announce it correctly.
Modal dialogs — modals (such as the Service Catalog detail view) use role="dialog", aria-modal, an associated aria-labelledby title, focus is moved into the dialog, the Escape key closes it, and page scroll is locked while open.
Accessible forms — form fields on the Contact form use visible labels, associated inputs, required-field indicators, descriptive aria-labels on icon-only buttons, and announce submission status changes to screen readers.
Reduced motion — the site honors the prefers-reduced-motion operating system setting and disables non-essential animation and smooth scrolling for users who request it, in conformance with WCAG 2.3.3 Animation from Interactions.
Color and contrast — we use a navy + brand-green palette chosen so that body text, headings, and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast minimums against their backgrounds.
Decorative vs. meaningful images — meaningful images use descriptive alt text, while purely decorative images and icons are marked aria-hidden so they are skipped by screen readers, in conformance with WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content.
Document language and titles — every page declares its language and has a unique, descriptive title, in conformance with WCAG 3.1.1 Language of Page and 2.4.2 Page Titled.
3. Section 508 Alignment
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requires that U.S. federal electronic and information technology be accessible to people with disabilities, and adopts WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA as its technical baseline for web content.
The features described in Section 2 above were implemented specifically to align luckyrabbit.tech with that WCAG 2.0 / 2.1 AA baseline — including the Section 508 requirements for keyboard operability, perceivable content, robust markup, name/role/value for interactive components, and accessible error and status messaging.
Because Lucky Rabbit serves federal, state, and local government clients, we apply these same principles to the solutions we design and build for our clients, beyond our own marketing site.
4. Known Limitations & Scope
This statement covers the public marketing pages of luckyrabbit.tech. Embedded third-party content, externally hosted documents, or content provided by partners may not be fully under our control and may not yet meet the same level of accessibility.
We have not yet engaged a third-party auditor for a formal Section 508 conformance review or VPAT. Until that audit is completed, this page should be read as a good-faith self-disclosure of the features we have built, not a certification of full conformance.
5. Ongoing Work
Accessibility is never "done." We treat it as a continuous practice — built into design reviews, component standards, and engineering checks. As we ship new pages, products, and features, accessibility is in scope from day one rather than retrofitted at the end.
We use a combination of automated tooling, keyboard-only testing, and screen reader spot-checks during development, and we treat reported accessibility issues as priority work.
6. Feedback & Requests
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on luckyrabbit.tech, or if you'd like content provided in an alternate format, please contact us at info@luckyrabbit.tech. Include the page URL and a brief description of the issue so we can investigate and respond quickly.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five business days and to work with you on a resolution path.
